As a high-strength aluminum alloy in the 7xxx series, 7020 alloy mainly meets the needs of large-scale thin-walled, high-precision complex solid and hollow profiles for railway trains and road transportation special vehicles. Aluminum has excellent mechanical properties and good energy absorption, and has obvious advantages in collision safety. Therefore, aluminum has become the most ideal material of choice for lightweight automobiles. After the main longitudinal beam parts of the whole vehicle are made of 7020 alloy, the weight of the I-beam is reduced by 10%, and the bearing capacity is increased by 10%, which makes the weight of the whole vehicle lighter and improves the strength of the whole vehicle.
Advantages of 7020 aluminum alloy for the longitudinal beam of tanker truck trailer
- The yield strength of 7020 alloy is about 80MPa higher than that of 6082 alloy.
- After using 7020 alloy, carry out structural optimization. When the deformation of the longitudinal beam is controlled at 1/2000 and the load of a single longitudinal beam is 24.5T, the weight of the longitudinal beam section is reduced. The thickness of the plate is 10mm, the thickness of the lower wing plate is 15mm, and the height is 480mm. Compared with the original section, the weight of the two longitudinal beams can be reduced by 40Kg, a weight reduction of 6.7%.
- The new section has been simulated and analyzed, and the new alloy longitudinal beam fully meets the use requirements when the load is 40T, and the safety factor is higher than the original 6-series alloy longitudinal beam.
- The cast rod is homogenized by a three-stage homogenization system, and is produced by a 12500T extrusion machine. The heating temperature of the cast rod is 450±10℃, and the gradient heating; the pressure ratio is controlled at about 30, and the extrusion speed is controlled at 2.0~3.0m/min; better material properties can be achieved, Rm=390MPa, Rp0.2=350MPa.
